This doesn’t surprise me one bit. In practice most people use terms like Socialism, Fascism etc to refer to government that doesn’t directly benefit them. When government provides those things they need it’s just common sense good governance.
I don’t doubt that this person imagines himself as a Randian Hero and has all kinds of ridiculous rationalizations for his hypocrisy.
