This is the problem in a nutshell. I’ve seen this first hand. Arguments about facts that make the theory seem less likely just bounce off boogymen appear from every corner. They become unreachable. Otherwise normal people who fully realize that Bill and Hillary Clinton were unable to conceal a blow job and an email server are fully convinced that they are behind literally dozens of killings and ran a human trafficking operation.
