“it wasn’t until 1979—a full six years after Roe—that evangelical leaders, at the behest of conservative activist Paul Weyrich, seized on abortion not for moral reasons, but as a rallying-cry to deny President Jimmy Carter a second term. Why? Because the anti-abortion crusade was more palatable than the religious right’s real motive: protecting segregated schools.”
Nearly half of voters, 47 percent, say Trump is mostly to blame for the shutdown, the poll shows, while another 5 percent point the finger at congressional Republicans. But just a third, 33 percent, blame Democrats in Congress
The Trump administration is failing to enforce laws passed by congress and everyone on the right is cool with that because conservatives are totally fine about being all loosey-goosey with the Constitution. It’s not like the Tea Party was jumping all over itself about imaginary violations of the constitution by Obama a few year ago. Enforcement, non-enforcement, who cares?
Don’t worry, I’m sure the same people who chanted lock her up will demand a full investigation. They were very concerned about the use of private email and there is no reason to think it wasn’t sincere.
