The Utah GOP is more concerned with what the funding class wants than what the voters voted for.
“The Utah GOP clearly is prioritizing overturning the voters, considering the Legislature has been in session since just Monday and the bill made it out its Senate committee Tuesday and to the floor Wednesday. The fact that 53 percent of voters spoke in favor of a full Medicaid expansion at the ballot box in November is not swaying Utah Republican legislators, who have resisted the expansion since it became available in 2014 under the Affordable Care Act.”
Republican Health Plans Have Winners And Losers, Just Like Obamacare
Trump has promised magical plan that will cost nothing and solve everything because of good deals. Not going to happen. All the plans have good and bad parts. Some more good than bad, others more bad than good.
John Boehner told Republicans some inconvenient truths on Obamacare
Republicans had a message for 2010, and a plan for 2012, and then when Barack Obama won reelection and the Affordable Care Act began delivering benefits, they didn’t revisit either. So now they’re adrift. Their 2012 plan doesn’t make any sense in 2017.
One thing red state voters don’t like about Obamacare is that it sucks
It is absurd that someone whose income is 130% of the poverty line can go to a doctor but someone whose income is 140% (or 150%, 160%, etc.) of the poverty line cannot. Yet that is the reality the design of Obamacare has created. This design generates enormous resentment because it is actually bullshit that making a little more money makes health care unaffordable.
Why did people who are on Obamacare vote against Obamacare? Maybe because Trump promised them something better and Hillary promised them more Obamacare.
Poll: the Affordable Care Act is now more popular than ever
The only thing worse than Obamacare is not having Obamacare.
